ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Friday called upon the Saudi investors to take advantage of investment-friendly opportunities in sectors of energy, infrastructure, transport, information technology and communications in Pakistan.
Talking to a delegation of Pak-Saudi Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry here at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the President stated that Pakistan and Saudi Arabia enjoy close and fraternal relations that are marked by common perceptions on all issues of mutual interests at regional and international level.
He said Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have always stood by each other in testing times and the people of Pakistan deeply value relations with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The President said that more than 1.5 million Pakistanis, working in Saudi Arabia, form a human bridge between the two brotherly countries.
He said that the Pakistani diaspora had been playing an important role in the development and prosperity of both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
The President said there was a need to further enhance bilateral trade to bring it at par with the strong fraternal bonds that exist between the two countries.
He said that enhanced frequency of bilateral tradedelegations, and increased participation by businessmen in trade exhibitions held in both countries, would further augment trade and economic ties.
The President said that Pakistan can offer educational opportunities to Saudi students in medical and engineering fields.
