KARACHI: With 67 Pakistani’s on board a Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) plane arrived at Karachi airport on Monday morning, Aaj News reported.
The passengers received a warm welcome from their families as they arrived Jinnah Airport. Flight PK-7006 first arrived at Islamabad airport with 137 Pakistani’s on board and two Canadians and two Sudanese nationals were also among them.
Abdul Qadir Baloch of SAFRON, PM special assistant on aviation Shujaat Azeem and officials from the foreign office received the stranded Pakistanis.
On their arrival the Passengers appreciated the government’s efforts as they were chanting “Pakistan Zindabad” slogans. 850 Pakistanis have been evicted from Yemen, said the Foreign Office.
A Pakistani Navy ship is also expected to reach Pakistan today. This vessel has 148 Pakistani nationals and 35 foreign nationals.Foreeing office spokes person Tasneem Aslam said that “Chinese students and employees, mostly European and Indians of a company whose CEO facilitated our citizens, are on PN ship for evacuation,”.
