KARACHI: A Joint investigation team (JIT) will be led by DIG Amir Sheikh to investigate the leaks made by former member of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Thursday, Aaj News reported.
The JIT will be consisted of Officers from Military Intelligence (MI), Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) and Investigation Police.
In seven days, an investigation report will be sent to the interior ministry. The team will also investigate Mirza in Machh Jail.
In a confession video on March 19 hours before his death, Saulat mirza made some serious allegations against the Chief of MQM Altaf Hussain and other party members.
Mirza revealed that it was Babar Ghauri who delivered him Altaf Hussain’s orders to assassinate KESC chief Shahid Hamid. Mirza also claimed that the party uses Ishratul Ebad influence to protect the criminal elements of MQM.
On the other news, Ubaid K2, Faisal mota and other workers who were arrested in a raid on MQM headquarters carried out by Rangers earlier this month, were presented in front of an Anti-terrorism court (ATC) Thursday.
Mohammad Shahid Alia Japani and Mohammad Ijaz Alia Tona, members of a political party were also presented to police on a seven day remand.
