ISLAMABAD: Citizens of Islamabad and Rawalpindi Monday expressed happiness over the state visit of Chinese President, Xi Jinping to Pakistan, hoping it would help take the friendship between the two countries to a new level.
As the President of China reached Islamabad, people residing in different parts of twin cities welcomed the President, chanting Pak-China Friendship Zindabad slogans.
In his comments, Mohsin Ali, a student of Quaid-i-Azam University said that Pakistan and China are time-tested friends and both countries have always helped each other through thick and thin.
Asia Batool a Lecturer at Allama Iqbal Open University, Islamabad said that China treats Pakistan as a friend and we as a nation are proud to be a friend of China.
Muhammad Iqbal a shopkeeper from Faizabad area expressed rejoice over the two-day visit of Chinese President. He also chanted slogan “Pak-China dosti zindabad” (long live Pak-China friendship) and hoped there would be a big change in the soci-economic conditions of the people of Pakistan after the proposed Chinese investment in Pakistan’s mega projects. The investment in Pakistan will bring revolution in lives of common man, he added.
Ghulam Mustafa, a citizen of Rawalpindi said it is a fate changing visit of President Xi Jinping which would bring prosperity in Pakistan through Chinese investment.
