ISLAMABAD: The Judicial commission (JC) was formed to investigate unproved rigging in General Elections 2013, it will begin its open court hearing from today, Aaj News reported.
Evidence has been submitted by different political parties before the JC.
The JC leaded by Chief Justice Nasirul Mulk and has given time limit to political parties who participated in the 2013 general elections to submit the evidence regarding alleged rigging till 6:00 PM April 15.
Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Jamat-e-Islami (JI), Awami National party (ANP), Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Pakistan Muslim League Quaid-e-Azam group (PML-Q) and other parties submitted proof to the commission on the last date.
The JC leaded by Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Justice Nasirul Mulk also includes Justice Amir Hani Muslim and Justice Ejaz Afzal Khan. Hamid Ali has been picked as the commission’s secretary.
The first proceeding will take place in the open court on Thursday April 16. The court will submit its reports within 45 days.
