SHEIKHUPURA: Gilgit-Baltistan Governor Chaudhry Barjees Tahir Saturday said that government will put the country on way to progress and prosperity after ending load shedding from the country in the next three years.
Addressing the oath taking ceremony of the Sheikhupura Press Club office bearers here, he said a large number of job opportunities would be available to people in the country by overcoming energy crisis.
He said the PML-N government believed in independent and free media as it played an important role to connect people with the government.
The present era was of the media as it remained a strong bridge between the people and the government to resolve their issues instantly and effectively, he added.
Barjees Tahir said all possible resources were being utilized to facilitate the masses so that their living standard could be raised.
He added that the PML-N government under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was committed to end terrorism from the country.
MPA Arif Khan, Sheikhupura Press Club chairman Malik Aslam Baloch, Chamber of Commerce chairman Manzoorul Haq and a large number of journalists were also present.
