KARACHI: Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah has directed the IG Sindh Police to ensure the arrest of remaining accused in the murder case of JUI-F leader Dr Khalid Mehmood Soomro, and also provide security to his son, Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro.
He was talking to a delegation of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl (JUI-F) Sindh led by Maulana Rashid Mehmood Soomro called on him at the Chief Minister House here said a handout.
Other members of the delegation were Maulana Abdul Qayoom Halejvi, Qari Muhammad Usman, Maulana Abdul Karim Abid and Muhammad Aslam Ghouri.
Maulana Rashid Soomro informed the Chief Minister about matters pertaining to the prosecution of the murder case of his father, arrest of remaining one accused out of six, as well as problems related to Madarsa of his party.
The Chief Minister eulogized the services of Dr. Khalid Mehmood Soomro and said the police have arrested five of the six accused in the case within shortest possible time.
About the problems pertaining to Madarsa, he said that this is a federal subject.
However, he assured the JUI-F delegation that they will not be mistreated as this targeted operation is being carried out across the board.
The delegation appreciated the targeted operation and its achievements and assured the Chief Minister of their full support.
