KARACHI: Professor of Cricket Pakistan Mohammad Hafeez is going to have an official reassessment test of his bowling action on April 9 in Chennai, India.
According to the PCB release, the date has been fixed by International Cricket Council (ICC) following a request by PCB.
All-rounder Hafeez was excluded from bowling by the ICC in International Cricket while playing a test series against the NewZealand in Abu Dhabi. His action was found to be illegal in December and the ICC reports said that the analysis had shown the flex for all his deliveries was above the 15-degree limit.
Mohammad Hafeez had missed an earlier assessment test by the ICC due to an injury to the foot and calf which had also ruled him out of the fantasy Cricket World Cup 2015 this year.
Professor was first reported when he was bowling for Lahore Lions in the Champions League T20 in September 2014, but that restriction was not applied to international cricket.
It is pertinent to mention here that Mohammad Hafeez has represented Pakistan in 40 Test matches, 155 ODI’s and 60 T20’s.
Under his captaincy Pakistan has drawn the 2 match Twenty20 series against India in India.
Now, all the Pakistani fans of Hafeez want him back in International Cricket with his off-spin bowling attack and also with steady batting.
Hafeez must have to work hard on his new bowling action to prove that he is still a good off-spinner.
