Three persons killed, woman injured in clash

LARKANA:  Three persons were gunned down and a woman was injured, in a clash over a  minor dispute by  armed persons of two groups of Jatoi clan in village Moosa Jatoi, some 8 kilometres from here, in the limits of Hatri Ghulam Shah Police Station on Friday.

According to Police report, armed men of Jatoi community led by Younis Jatoi  attacked  another group of Jatoi clan in village Moosa Jatoi in Larkana’s Bakrani taluka and shot at Jahtaal Jatoi, who died on the spot. However, in retaliatory  firing by Jahtaal Jatoi group two persons Siraj Jatoi (father) and Younis Jatoi (son) of attacking party were also killed on the spot.

The injured was identified as Mst. Zakia Jatoi, who was shifted to CMC Hospital for treatment.

The motive of the killing is said to be a minor dispute among the two groups of Jatoi clan, police added.

Police officials reached the spot and took the bodies into custody.

Later, the  bodies were handed over to the heirs of the deceased after post-mortem. Police  detained more than 04 persons from both sides.

SSP Larkana Kamran Nawaz along-with other police officials reached  the scene soon after receipt of information.

The SSP Larkana confirming to mediapersons said that the situation was under control.

“With the back up  of heavy police contingent and Armoured Personnel Carrier (APC) we have cordoned the entire village in katcha area and police has been deployed in the village,” the SSP said.

Hatri Ghulam Shah Police Station has registered a case against both disputing groups  and is investigating  further.
