KARACHI: MQM’s Chief Altaf Hussain denounced the media trial of Muttahida Qaummi Movement; this is not the end of MQM according to him.
While addressing his workers at nine zero via telephone from London, Altaf Hussain said that wanted criminals were brought to nine zero and were planted there.
He also added that no other parties headquarter was raided, Imran Khan was also criticized by the MQM chairman for his abusive language against the Army Generals.
Altaf Hussain said that PM Nawaz Sharif gave assurance that he will set a committee to overlook the ongoing operation in Karachi but no action was taken to fulfill this promise. He also requested the PM and Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar not to issue hatred against MQM.
From the very start of this operation, MQM leaders have shown their distrust, according to them the operation is being used as a masquerade to target MQM.
Earlier this month convicts and suspects were arrested when Rangers raided the party’s headquarters. Following this event, the ranger officials filed a case against the Chief of MQM for allegedly threatening them.
A series of allegations were made by MQM’s former member Saulat Mirza on the Party Chief and other prominent leader’s just hours before his death.
The MQM workers chanted the chief’s name and rejected the ‘Minus-Altaf-Formula’. Commenting on the ongoing situation in the Middle East, Altaf hussain said that Pakistan should keep away from the war between Saudi Arabia and Yemen.
