Sindh Govt, armed forces on same pitch: Sharjeel

KARACHI: Sindh Minister for Information and Local Bodies Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that there is no difference between the Sindh government and the armed forces, both are on same pitch, working together against terrorism and for promotion of democracy.

He also ruled out imposition of Governor Rule in Sindh and termed the rumours in this regard as baseless and unfounded.

This he said while replying to volley of questions by media at the inauguration of a flower show, arranged at Fateh Bagh as part of the campaign “green, clean and peaceful Sindh” here on Sunday.

Replying to a question the Minister said there was no deadlock between MQM and PPP and all issues will be resolved in an amicable manner.

A clear picture would come out after the Senate elections.

Sharjeel Memon said after April 1 ghost employees chapter will be closed. He said the corruption was being eliminated from all departments including local bodies.

He said to ensure attendance of the employees the biometrics system was being introduced in Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC).

He informed that all Towns administrators and Administrators of Karachi’s DMCs would provide the details of salaries and expenses at websites.

Memon said that anti encroachment campaign has been started in Sindh including Karachi in which all types of encroachments would be removed from all areas of the city.
