ISLAMABAD: President Mamnoon Hussain on Wednesday commended young leaders for taking keen interest in National Youth Assembly which provides a model youth Parliament for country’s future leaders.
Talking to a delegation of National Youth Assembly (NYA) who called on him at Aiwan-e-Sadr, the President stated that NYA is providing a platform to the youth of the country for preparing themselves as future leaders, bureaucrats, social workers, philosophers and responsible citizens.
The President noted that existence of a strong youth network at federal, provincial, divisional, district, tahsil levels and in all universities has enabled more than thirty thousand educated youth to become part of NYA.
The President lauded NYA for organizing many high level learning activities for its members to gain practical experience and to observe the working environment of various organizations.
The President expressed satisfaction NYA on organizing seminars for its elected members belonging to four provincial chapters through the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and publication of their selected recommendations in the UNDP’s special issue “Development Advocate Pakistan”.
The President noted with appreciation that NYA through its sponsored drive “Hope Campaign” has been hosting lunches for underprivileged persons of the country for the last three years.
The President assured that government of Pakistan would render all necessary assistance to the NYA in accomplishment of its mission and objectives.
