ISLAMABAD: In an official high rank meeting called by PM Nawaz Sharif said that Pakistan will defend the Saudi borders in case of an attack, Aaj News reported on Monday.
The Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif, National Security Advisor and Foreign Affairs Advisor Saartaj Aziz, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Finnance Minister Ishaq dar, Air Chief Marshal Sohail Aman and Foreign Secretary were in attendance .
It was decided in the meeting that Pakistan will play a bigger role in pacifying the prevailing situation in Middle East. The PM will contact the leadership of Allied Muslim countries in order to find a peaceful solution to the ongoing Suadi-Yemen crisis.
The decision to send the Army to help out Saudia Arabia is still hanging in the air. Khawaja Asif will be leaving with a delegation tomorrow to Saudi Arab.
