RIYADH: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif arrived here Wednesday for a three-day official visit on the special invitation of Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud.
The Prime Minister received a very warm welcome as he alighted from his special aircraft at King Khalid Airport.
He was presented a salute by a contingent of the Royal Saudi Armed Forces.
He was accompanied by a high-level delegation, including Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif and his special assistants on National Affairs Irfan Siddiqui, and Foreign Affairs Syed Tariq Fatemi.
Saudi King Salman Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, as a special gesture, received Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and his entourage.
The Prime Minister will hold talks with the Saudi leadership, besides performing Umrah and paying his respects at the Roza-e-Rasool (Peace Be Upon Him), during his stay.
During his visit, the Prime Minister will discuss issues of mutual interest and concern in the global and regional context besides focussing on ways to further strengthen their bilateral relations.
