ISLAMABAD: Pakistan on Saturday said that it had started making all necessary arrangements for immediate evacuation of Pakistani community members and Embassy personnel from Yemen under the special directives of Prime Minister, Muhammad Nawaz Sharif.
Foreign Office spokesperson in a statement said that in view of the situation in Yemen, Pakistanis were being taken to safer cities in Yemen from where PIA special flights would be arranged to bring them back home.
The spokesperson said a Crisis Management Cell (CMC) had been established in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to coordinate arrangements for evacuation.
The spokesperson said any one could contact through telephone numbers 0092-51-90569119 and 0092-51-90569346 and email firstname.lastname@example.org regarding evacuation arrangements by Foreign Office from Yemen. All those in need of assistance in the context of evacuation of Pakistanis from Yemen may contact the CMC.
The Embassy of Pakistan in Sana’a was making all possible efforts to facilitate the Pakistanis who wish to be evacuated, the spokesperson added.
