Nation believes in interfaith harmony: Ayyaz Sadiq

CHAKWAL: National Assembly Speaker, Sardar Ayyaz Sadiq Saturday said the Pakistani nation believed in interfaith harmony among all religions as it was a peaceful country.

Addressing a stone laying ceremony of a residential complex at Katas Raj Temple here, he said all people were living according to their religious and social beliefs in the country.

The speaker said no religion, including Islam, allowed to insult the other religions, therefore, to develop link of terrorism with Islam was highly unfortunate.

He said the nation should also fulfil its responsibility regarding terrorism and it should protect its streets and roads from trrrorists.

He said construction of the complex was a real diplomacy and such activities should be continued.

In his address, Evacuee Trust Property Board Chairman Sadiqul Farooq said the board would play its role for giving a message of peace to the world.

He said the construction of the complex would be completed till June 30 this year.

Indian High Commissioner T C Raghwan, Minister of State Aminul Hasnat and several other prominent personalities attended the ceremony.
