KARACHI: As many as two policemen were killed and 15 others got injured when a bomb explosion ripped through their bus here on Friday morning, Aaj News reported.
According to the officials, the bus carrying police commandos had departed from the Razaqabad training centre and had just reached the Malir Bridge when terrorists detonated a bomb planted inside a motorcycle parked by the side of the road.
As a result of the blast, two policemen were killed and more than 15 injured, who are currently being treated at the Jinnah hospital.
The commandos were on their way to being deployed for the security of Bilawal House in Clifton area, claimed police officials.
It is pertinent to mention here that at least four to five kilograms of explosive material was used in the bomb which was detonated through remote control, said a police DIG.
