KARACHI: Social media exposes the telephonic conversation between Imran Khan and Arif Alvi following the September 1, 2014 attack on PTV, Aaj News reported.
In that conversation Arif Alvi can be heard talking to the PTI Chairman, informing him about the attack on PTV and blocking the channel to stop its transmission. In reply Imran Khan said that “It is all a question of Nawaz to resign”, he further added that pressure needs to be apply on Nawaz in order to make him resign.
In this conversation, Arif Alvi told Imran Khan about the contact with MQM and waiting for their response. In reply to this, Imran Khan asked Alvi to keep on reaching them quoting that “You have to put maximum pressure today for a result tomorrow”.
Arif Alvi responded that the conversation was edited. He further added that talking to MQM was a pure political move, as PTI was requesting all the parties to join the Dharna.
