ISLAMABAD: Chairman Capital Development Authority (CDA), Maroof Afzal Monday directed to decorate and revamp the surroundings and connecting routes of the venue of Pakistan Day Parade.
In a statement issued here, he said that entire city should be taken up for further enhancing its beauty.
Chairman CDA passed these directions while chairing a meeting held at CDA headquarters to review the arrangements of up-coming Pakistan Day Parade.
The meeting was attended by Member Administration and Estate, Amer Ali Ahmed and concerned senior officers of the Authority.
Chairman CDA directed the concerned formations of the Authority to carry out necessary repair and maintenance of the connecting routes particularly Islamabad Expressway.
He directed for immediate repair of footpaths along the avenues and around the venue.
He further directed to make operational all the streetlights on the Expressway after necessary repair.
For beautifying the connecting avenues and surroundings of the venue, Chairman CDA directed the Environment Wing to decorate the median strips with different varieties of colorful flowers
He directed to take all the nurseries of Islamabad on board, so that entire city could be decorated to celebrate this day.
Maroof Afzal directed to refurbish the Quaid-i-Azam portrait installed along the Expressway and directed the concerned formations to make it fully operational.
He said that focus should be given to the quality of work so that it could be made a permanent feature of the federal capital.
He directed to utilize all available resources so that dignities, state guests and other spectators of Pakistan Day Parade would be facilitated in better way.
