LAHORE: Acting Governor Punjab Rana Muhammad Iqbal Khan on Thursday said political, military leadership and Pakistani nation were on same page against terrorism and this menace would be eradicated once and for all.
Addressing the seventh three-day Nazria-e-Pakistan Conference, organized by Nazria-e-Pakistan Trust with the cooperation of Tehreek-e-Pakistan Workers Trust at Aiwan-e-Karkunan-e-Tehrik-e-Pakistan here, he said Pakistan was facing a big challenge of terrorism and the operation Zarb-e-Azb was continued successfully to purge the country of terrorists.
He said neither terrorists were human being nor had any religion but they were wild beasts, adding “We will counter terrorists and win the war against terrorism”.
He said Pakistan was rich in mineral wealth which would be utilized for strengthening national economy and achieving the goal of progress and prosperity of the country.
He hoped Pakistan would be in the list of developed countries soon by utilizing the newly discovered mineral wealth.
Rana Muhammad Iqbal said “We will have to adopt principles of hardworking, service, honesty and commitment to make the country according to the vision of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah and dream of Dr Allama Muhammad Iqbal.
We will have to make Pakistan a welfare state”.
He paid homage to late Dr Majeed Nizami and Ghulam Haider Wain regarding their services for Nazria-e-Pakistan Trust.
