JAMSHORO: Teachers and students were entertained at a Mushaira at the University of Sindh on Sunday evening.
The Mushaira was organised by the Institute of Sindhology here, where a minute of silence was observed for the martyrs of Friday’s Shikarpur blast.
A musical programme was, however, postponed.
The event was presided over by noted poet Inayat Baloch and compered by famous poet Amar Iqbal.
Poets from across the province including Adal Soomro, Amar Iqbal, Ahmed Solangi, Ishaque Samejo, Gulbadan Javed, Samina Memon, Bedal Masroor, Izhar Soomro, Zaib Sindhi, participated in the Mushaira.

Saeed Mangi said the event was organised to promote cultural activities on the campus.
He further said it provided some entertainment to teachers and students who remained busy in the study throughout the year.
Earlier, three corners of renowned personalities Sindhi Poet Ustad Bukhari, Sufi Singer Suhrab Faqir and novelist Tariq Alam Abro were inaugurated in the museum of Sindhology.
Adal Soomro and short-story writer Shaukat Hussain Shoro inaugurated the corners.
The family members of late poet Ustad Bukhari, Suhrab Faqir and Tariq Alam Abro were also present.
