SUKKUR: Minister of State for Water and Power Chaudhry Abid Sher Ali has said that the government is committed to overcome power crises and there would be no load shedding in Pakistan by 2017.
He said all power projects launched by the government would be completed on time.
Talking to media after inaugurating a 132-KV grid station in Arain Road near here on Monday, the Minister said that the grid station would help in reducing load shedding and line losses, increase in economic growth, employment opportunitis and help poverty alleviation in the area.
He said that 1800 Mega Watt of electricity will be added to the national grid before summer season.
The minister further said that K-Electric has to pay Rs.100 billion to Federal government and new deal would be done after recovery of old dues.
