LAHORE: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif has extended his best wishes to the Pakistan cricket team in its first encounter in the ICC World Cup 2015 with India on Sunday.
The Prime Minister said the entire nation was praying for the success of the team and expected the boys to do their level best in this crucial fixture.
He said that Pakistan’s cricket team had brought many laurels to the country in the past and the nation wanted it to keep the national flag fluttering high every time it enters the arena and gives its best in all fields of the game, said a press release issued by the Prime Minister House on Saturday.
The Prime Minister said despite few setbacks that the team had suffered recently, the players should have firm faith in their abilities and compete with confidence and resilience.
He also wished good luck for the team in its future fixtures of the World Cup.
