WANA: Mehsud tribal elders Monday asked Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Sardar Mehtab Ahmad Khan to visit South Waziristan and apprise himself of the problems being confronted by displaced people of the agency in wake of military operations.
PMLN FATA leader, Ghazi Khan Mehsud said the governor should visit the agency and address a grand jirga of Mehsud tribesmen so that the tribals could apprise him about their problems.
He recalled that during his meeting with governor few days back, he had demanded of the governor to visit the area.
The governor expressed willingness to address Mehsud jirga for resolving their problems, he added.
He said population of more than 400,000 tribesmen, who have left their areas since the start of operation in October, 2009 were facing problems in their temporary residing areas adding visit of the Governor would help addressing their issues.
