ISLAMABAD: While responding to false claims of his Indian counterpart regarding blowing up a Pakistani boat, Federal Defence Minister, Khawaja Muhammad Asif said on Wednesday that it had onece again been proved that India violated the international rules and disregarded the humanitarian considerations.
“It not only imposed baseless and false allegations on Pakistan before like in the case of Samjhota Express, but were involved in treacherously killing four innocent lives on board.”
In a statement issued here, he said that India haf once again proved to be heinous in its face, designs and urged for peace.
The Minister took notice of the news item appearing in Indian Express and Hindustan Times which revealing false claims of Indian Defence Minister Monohar Parrikar on the sad incident of blowing up a Pakistani boat on the night of December, 31 last.
The revelation made by Indian DIG Coast Guard BK Loshali who is also Chief of Staff of Northern Region proved that Indian Defence Ministry and the Indian Defence Minister were putting up a false story.
Khawaja Asif said that Loshali contradicted his government’s statement by saying that Pakistani boat was attacked by Indian Coast Guard.
He was quoted saying, “We blew off that Pakistani boat.
We have blown them off..I was at Gandhinagar and I told at night, blow the boat off”.
Khawaja Asif reiterated that Pakistan’s desire for peace and coexistence in the region must not be seen as its weakness.
International community must also take notice of the incident which is tearing off India’s veil of being a peaceful country of the region, he concluded.
