PESHAWAR: Chairman Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) Imran Khan Wednesday visited Lady Reading Hospital (LRH) and enquired after the health of Ahmed Nawaz, who was injured in APC carnage on December 16 last.
Chief Minister KPK Pervez Khattak, Central Secretary General PTI Jehangir Tareen, Provincial President Azam Swati, General Secretary KP PTI Khalid Masood and Naeemul Haq were also present on the occasion.
Imran Khan met with Ahmed Nawaz and prayed for his early recovery.
Ahmed Nawaz is proceeding to United Kingdom for treatment Wednesday evening (February 11) on the expense of federal government.
The Federal Government provided Rs 30.05 million for the treatment of the injured student besides facilitating the necessary travelling documents including passports and visas etc.
PM Spokesman Dr Musaddiq Malik had handed over four passports with duly stamped UK visas and travelling document to Muhammad Nawaz father of Ahmed Nawaz here at his residence on Friday last.
Dr Malik had stated on the occasion that the federal government would bear all the expenses of the injured students till he was fully recovered.
