ISLAMABAD: Member National Assembly of Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), Talal Chaudhry on Thursday said that present government is making efforts to flush out menace of terrorism from the country.
Talking to Pakistan Television channel, he said that all important steps have been taken to enhance the efficiency of police.
He said that measures are being taken to control hate speech, misuse of loudspeakers and other anti-social activities.
He said that the government had started the verification of mobile SIMs process so that illegal use of such technology could be controlled in a proper manner.
PML-N MNA said that some elements had been using the SIMs in terrorism activities.
He said that coordination of national institutions including law enforcement agencies have been ensured to fight the war on terrorism in a befitting manner.
To a question regarding electoral reforms, he said that Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf (PTI), should use the forum of parliament to bring change in the system.
He urged Pakistan Tehrik e Insaf to visit Parliament so that reforms could be made in consultation with the political parties.
Talal Chaudhry said that all the political parties including PTI should support the government for achieving the objectives of operation launched to eliminate the menace of terrorism from this area.
Senator of Awami National Party (ANP), Afrasab Khattak said that Pakistan army had restored peace in Swat area after the operation.
He said that thousands of people had lost their lives in the war on terrorism.
To a question he said that all the political parties particularly PTI should give full ownership to the armed forces so that the objectives of war on terrorism could be achieved with success.
He said that peace is imperative to make progress in the country.
