Indian team manager has dismissed reports on fitness issues about Bhuvneshwar Kumar and R. Ashwin and said, “They are very much available for their second world cup game against South Africa on Sunday, February 22,” reported Indian media.
Indian pacer Kumar just played 41 ODI with the bowling average of 37.15 and took 45 wickets, he didn’t play first game of world cup against Pakistan. While, off-spinner Ashwin was struck by Umesh Yadav delivery while batting in the same nets.However, Indian team manager dismissed all the rumours and said, “We are receiving so many calls from media about R. Ashwin and Bhuvneshwar Kumar fitness. (The) above players are very much available for selection for (the) match against South Africa”.
India played their first cup game against Pakistan and won by 76 runs on February 15. They will now face South Africa in their second World Cup fixture.
