ISLAMABAD: A 22-member delegation of Army Public School Peshawar (APS) on Tuesday visited the Pakistan Embassy College Beijing (PECB).
The delegation has been invited by the Chinese government to visit China, said a message received here.
The Pakistan Embassy College in Beijing hosted a gathering where the APS and PECB students expressed unity, solidarity and shared their deepest feelings for the lost souls, condemning the perpetrators of the cowardly, horrendous and barbaric crime of 16th December, 2014.
Ambassador Masood Khalid on the occasion said that he was highly encouraged by the courage, bravery and sentiments described by the speakers.
He said 16th December would be remembered in Pakistan’s history as a black day. Condemning the act he said that even the highest moral values would not permit to ever pardon such heinous crimes.
The attack on innocent, defenseless children had not deterred the students and instead defeated the incomprehensible, myopic and skewed ideologies and thoughts of the perpetrators, and left the entire nation stand firmly united in the fight against misled militants and terrorists playing other peoples games.
Addressing the students Ambassador Massod Khalid said that Pakistan was attained after a great struggle of our forefathers, in order to attain a homeland for peace, progress, prosperity and participation of all.
“You are bright, intelligent, courageous and brave, and you love the country and stood up against the challenge,” the ambassador said adding that he was confident that they “will not be deterred by the tragedy.”
He said that the students during the visit would experience and feel the warmth and friendship the Chinese people have for Pakistani people and learn from China’s success.
He also thanked the Chinese government for the initiative.
The Principal of PECB Madam Shagufta Ansari said that many students embraced martyrdom and many got injured but the brave students and teachers of the school proved with their courage that they were not afraid of such evil forces.
Rather they were determined to fight against such savage people.
The students, staff and parents gave a great sacrifice for their country.
“We would not allow the sacrifices go wasted and together by the Grace of Allah, we would not allow anyone to repeat such type of heinous act,”she added.
The delegation comprises students, parents, doctor and teacher.
During their ten-day tour, they will visit Shenzhen, Urumqi and Hong Kong besides Beijing.
