SHIKARPUR: Federal Minister for Planning and Development Ahsan Iqbal visited Shikarpur on Wednesday and offered condolences with the families of the victims of last Friday’s bomb blast.
Talking to the media, he said the federal government along with the Sindh government is taking action to bring to justice elements responsible for the Shikarpur explosion.
He said some leads have been found regarding the Shikarpur incident, said a handout issued here.
The minister said the loss of life in Shikarpur and Peshawar terrorism incidents is heartbreaking, but the people of the country and families of martyrs are united against terrorism.
The minister said the government is determined to eliminate terrorism from the country, adding that killing in the name of language or religion is against the ideals of Pakistan.
He said terrorism incidents in the country are conspiracies by the enemies of the country.
Ahsan Iqbal said strict actions have been taken to eradicate the menace of terrorism, adding that military courts have been established and Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif is himself monitoring all the actions.
