ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Water and Power Abid Sher Ali has stressed the need for collective efforts to flush out menace of terrorism from the country.
Talking to a private news channel, he said the provincial governments should take measures to address the issues of the people of their areas.
The federal government, he said, would provide all necessary support to the provinces, including Khyber Pakhtunkhawa, for maintaining peace.
The minister said the government and armed forces were committed to root out terrorism from the country.
“It is also the responsibility of all citizens, including politicians, to play their role in this regard,” he added.
He urged the nation to forge unity for foiling the nefarious designs of elements, who wanted to spread sectarianism and terrorism.
To a question about the Model Town incident report, he said:
“We should respect the court decisions.”
The persons responsible for Model Town tragic incident should be punished, he added.
