LAHORE: As many as 144,000 people from Pakistan will perform haj this year, of whom 71,684 will go under government haj scheme and 72,316 will go under private scheme.
According to a press release issued by the Haj Directorate here on Sunday, Hajj applications will be received on first come first serve basis in the light of the successful experience of previous years and it might not be done through balloting procedure.
The aspirants have been directed to start the process to get their passports. The Passport should be valid up-to March 31, 2016, for submitting Hajj applications.
Hajj pilgrims will not be allowed to bring Zamzam water as air companies would provide 5 liter Zamzam water to each Haji on return.
