ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif on Friday said development of Gwadar Port and construction of Pakistan-China Economic Corridor would bring a wave of prosperity for the people of Balochistan.
Chairing a meeting on matters relating to Balochistan at the PM’s House, the Prime Minister asked the provincial government to ensure good governance in the province.
The Prime Minister said the government was providing increased funds for the development of the province with particular focus on infrastructure development.
He said Balochistan is an important part of the country and added that the federal and provincial governments needed to work in coordination for optimum utilization of the mineral resources of the province.
The party matters of Pakistan Muslim League (N) relating to the province also came under discussion during the meeting which was attended by Leader of House in Senate, Raja Muhammad Zafar ul Haq;Minister for Information, Pervaiz Rashid; Federal Minister for Railways, Khawaja Saad Rafiq; Minister for SAFRON, Lt. Gen (R) Abdul Qadir Baloch; Chief Minister Balochistan, Dr. Abdul Malik Baloch;Senator, Mir Hasil Bizenjo; Senator, Sardar Yaqoob Nasir; MNA,Mahmood Khan Achakzai; Balochistan Minister for Mines and Minerals,Sardar Sanaullah Zehri; Iqbal Zafar Jhagra and Political Secretary to PM, Dr. Asif Kirmani.
