KARACHI: Citizen – Police Liaison Committee (CPLC), Chief Ahmed Chinoy here Tuesday evening denied any raid or snap checking of his residence by the rangers.
Addressing a press conference at the CPLC office, he said that it was during a CPLC team’s successful recovery of an abductee that rangers had approached the committee.
He said that it was a mere 10 minutes presence of rangers around his residence that triggered baseless rumours.
Chinoy during the press conference said parents of the recovered person had also approached CPLC after safe recovery of their son.
In reply to a question, he said abductors were in constant contact with parents of the abductee and it was on basis of the cell phone conversation between abductors and abductee’s parents that the criminals could be apprehended.
CPLC chief said there exists close coordination among CPLC, police and rangers as all are working against criminals and for establishment of the writ of law besides safety of citizens.
