Abe: Japan to honour $200 mn aid pledge to IS-hit countries

JERUSALEM: Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Tuesday he would honour a promise of $200 million in aid to countries affected by IS, after the group threatened to kill Japanese hostages.

“This posture will not change at all,” he told a Jerusalem news conference on the latest leg of a Middle East tour.

“The international community will not give in to terrorism and we have to make sure that we work together.”
