ISLAMABAD: Ministry of States and Frontier Regions has established two high schools at Temporarily Displaced Persons (TDPs) camp in Bakka Khel, Bannu and provided textbooks and other facilities to students free of cost.
The Boys High School at the camp contains 1492 students enrollment wherein 23 male teachers have been posted while the Girls High School has 542 students enrollments and 10 female teachers have been deployed there.
Highlighting the measures taken by the government to provide health and education facilities in camps to the affected of recent operation in North-Waziristan, the Ministry on Sunday said Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) has established a field hospital at District Headquarters Bannu with 50-55 doctors and para-medical staff.
The staff is managed by Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), Federal Government Polyclinic Complex and National Institute of Rehabilitative Medicine (NIRM), Islamabad.
Agency Surgeon office has also been shifted in Bannu for provision of health services to TDPs.
Moreover, five Mobile Health Units have also been provided for TDPs at Bannu and free medical services extended to the TDPs residing with the host families.
