SUKKUR: People of northern Sindh Thursday widely hailed Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif’s address to the nation on Wednesday night and said that it is good that there is political and national consensus on fighting terrorism.
They said all political parties and people are united under the leadership of the Prime Minister on the issue of terrorism.
Central leader of Pakistan Muslim League- Functional Syed Ajmal Musvi welcomed the decision for the formation of military courts for a specified period adding that no doubt, now is the time to take decisions without further wait.
While talking to APP here, he said Pakistan has paid a heavy price both in terms of human losses and loss to the economy in context of the war on terror. He said the prime minister has taken strong and hard decisions without any hesitation.
Human Rights Officer Sukkur Muhammad Javed has appreciated the commitment for ending terrorism and promoting peace in Pakistan. He hoped the incumbent government and masses would win the war. He said that the incumbent government would emerge victorious in eliminating terrorists.
He also favoured the decision to establish military courts in the country.
President Sukkur Small Traders (SST) Sukkur, Haji Javed Memon said that the business community widely appreciated the bold stance taken by the government and the armed forces on tackling the issue of extremism and there is growing appreciation and realisation of the active role that the present government is playing in eliminating the menace of extremism.
Spokesperson of Jammat Islah-ul- Muslimeen Sukkur chapter, Dr. Saeed Awan welcomed PM`s statement to expand the operation Zarb-e-Azb to the entire country against elements who want to destabilise and destroy the country.
He said that at present the country faces “now-or-never” situation and that the military courts were the only solution to the problem.
