Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has asked PML (N) leaders and workers to stay away from roads during PTI’s protest today, Railway’s Minister Khwaja Saad Rafique said here on Sunday. According to reports, Punjab CM Shahbaz Sharif called on PM at his Raiwind residence and discussed with him the law and order situation ahead of PTI’s protest in Lahore. He also briefed the PM over the Faisalabad incident in which a PTI activist was killed.
The PM advised the CM to ask the PML-N workers to remain calm and avoid any confrontation with PTI workers. Shahbaz Sharif said strict action would be taken against those involved in forcibly closing shops and markets.
CM’s son Salman Shahbaz said the government will not brook any violence in Lahore.
