ISLAMABAD: Chairperson National Assembly Standing Committee on Information and Broadcasting Marvi Memon has said that concerned authorities must pay attention to providing psychological assistance for surviving victims/kids of Peshawar tragedy.
Talking to Radio Pakistan , Marvi said Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif sent her to Peshawar to review availability of medical facilities for victims.
She said that she had briefed the Prime Minister about her visit to Peshawar.
“Survivors were in a state of shock and were not able to speak and need psychological counseling,” she told.
She said that Prime Minister wanted to provide traumatic assistance to children appealing psychiatrists to contact the concerned authorities to provide psychological assistance to survivors of the tragedy.
Marvi said she salutes to those children who scuffled with terrorists and managed to escape.
She said Government was fully motivated to devise strategy to wipe out terrorists to the extent that no terrorist would escape anyway.
She conveyed message to people that entire political leadership was not ready to accept terrorism at any cost. She said that Peshawar tragedy had given a wakeup call to entire nation and nation had responded it appropriately.
