RAWALPINDI: Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Raheel Sharif on Wednesday visited Afghanistan and held separate meetings with Afghan President Ashraf Ghani and Commander International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) General John F Campbell.
Matters related to security situation along Pak-Afghan border came under discussion, said an ISPR press release issued here.
Vital elements of intelligence were shared with Afghan authorities concerned, with regard to the Peshawar incident.
The Afghan President assured General Raheel that Afghan soil would not be allowed for terrorist activities against Pakistan and any signature found in this regard would be immediately eliminated.
The COAS also assured the Afghan President full support to the unity government in all spheres, including joint efforts against terrorists.
The ISAF commander also assured of complete support in eliminating terrorists in his area of responsibility.
