Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday reportedly chaired a consultative meeting to take stock of the prevailing political and security situation in the country. Minister for Interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan reportedly briefed the meeting on overall security situation in the country. Prime Minister also took his cabinet ministers into confidence on his upcoming visit to Nepal.
The meeting also held discussion on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s call for meeting in federal capital on November 30. According to a private channel, the meeting was of the view that allowing PTI to hold a gathering in the Red Zone may lead to repeat the scenes of post-August 14, 2014 of Islamabad PTI and Pakistan Awami Tehreek (PAT).
