KARACHI: Minister of State for Communications, MNA Abdul Hakeem Baloch on Friday said PML (N) is committed to develop all backward areas in the country, including those in Karachi.
During a visit to his constituency, in Old Malir here, he also assured to help getting solved the long pending problems of the local population.
“I and people of my constituency hold a strong and time tested bondage that can not be severed under any condition,” said Baloch while visiting Al Tabri Medical College and Hospital in Gadap Town, Old Malir.
State Minister Abdul Hakeem Baloch said he was fully conscious of the deprivation faced by people in his constituency and has adopted a phase wise approach to address these on strong lines.
“PML (N) government was committed to bring about progress and prosperity across the country particulalry the less and ignored areas,” said the only PML(N) MNA from Karachi.
He said commitment of his party was equally reflected in the ministry of communications, that was currently undergoing revolutionary changes with its positive impact on people of the entire country including the old areas of the metropolis.
Reiterating that he firmly believed that the foremost responsibility of any politician is public service, the state minister said politicians are obliged to protect rights and ensure well being of masses under all conditions.
“This is quite similar to the role of doctors and physicians who ought to treat diseases whereas politicians have to help and guide people in addressing their social and political needs closely linked to their right to equality and equity at every level,” he said.
On the occasion he visited different wards and personally enquired well being of the patients.
Hospital administration gave him a detailed briefing about the available facilities at the centre and the attached college.
