BEIJING: Prime Minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif was accorded a warm welcome when he arrived here Friday on a three-day visit to China.
Besides holding talks with Chinese President Xi Jingping and Premier Li Keqiang, Prime Minister Sharif during his visit will also represent Pakistan at the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) meeting being held here at the Chinese capital.
Earlier, in his departure statement, the Prime Minister said he was going to China only to save his people from extra load shedding ridden atrocious summer.
“Despite the damage done in the past two months due to political turmoil we will make up for the loss come what may,” he added.
The Prime Minister said Pak-China Economic Corridor has far reaching consequences for Pakistan’s economy. “These projects will be source of employment for over a million youth of Pakistan,” he added.
The Prime Minister further stated that Pak-China cooperation will also create business opportunities for local and international investors.
