KARACHI: Pakistan opener Ahmed Shehzad’s CT scan in Dubai shows depressed fracture of zygomatic arch of skull, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) announced on Monday.
“The specialist surgeon has confirmed minor fracture and has advised 48 hours of close monitoring,” PCB said in a statement.
In case the pain doesn’t subside than the surgeon may opt for decompression,” statement while quoting team manager Moin Khan.
The century-making Ahmed Shehzad was hit in the head, and was out hit wicket owing to the impact for 176 in 116th over of the Pakistan innings, by a short delivery from Corey Anderson.
He was in considerable pain, and was taken for CT scan, which confirmed minor fracture, the statement concluded.
