Two Dir Scouts men martyred in Bajaur blast

PESHAWAR: At least two security men were killed and two others injured on Saturday in a roadside blast in Salarzai Tehsil of Bajaur Agency.

Official sources said security forces were carrying water supply for the troops in a far flung Mulla Sed area of Salarzai tehsil when they were hit by an improvised explosive device (IED) blast resulting in the death of two Dir Scouts personnel and injuries to two others.

The injured were shifted to Khar hosptial.

A security reinforcement immediately reached the spot and a search operation was launched in the area.

Bajaur, a tribal region in Pakistan’s Federally Administered Tribal Areas (Fata), is governed by tribal laws.

In a separate incident in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s Hangu district, a security man was injured in a blast near Shaidano Dhand checkpost.
