Rivers, reservoirs report

LAHORE: The position of rivers inflow and outflow at Tarbela, Mangla and Chashma alongwith the reservoirs levels and barrages on Monday was as follows: Rivers: Indus at Tarbela-Inflows 46,800 cusecs and Outflows 90,000 cusecs, Kabul at Nowshera: Inflows 13,800 cusecs and Outflows 13,800 cusecs, Jhelum at Mangla-Inflows 16,300 cusecs and Outflows 30,000 cusecs, Chenab at Marala-Inflows 21,800 cusecs and Outflows 7,000 cusecs.

Barrages: Jinnah-Inflows 109,400 cusecs and Outflows 101,400 cusecs, Chashma-Inflows 99,100 cusecs and Outflows 90,000 cusecs, Taunsa-Inflows 84,100 cusecs and Outflows 59,500 cusecs, Panjnad-Inflows 20,600 cusecs and Outflows 5,600 Guddu-Inflows 62,800 cusecs and Outflows 53,200 cusecs, Sukkur-Inflows 59,800 cusecs and Outflows 17,900 cusecs, Kotri-Inflows 20,100 cusecs and Outflows Nil cusecs.

Reservoirs Level and Storage: Tarbela-dead level 1380 feet, present level 1534.28 feet, maximum level 1550 feet, live storage 5.562 million acre feet (MAF) Mangla-dead level 1040 feet, present level 1236.15 feet, maximum level 1242 feet, live storage 6.930 MAF, Chashma-dead level 637 feet, present level 645.20 feet, maximum level 649 feet, live storage 0.145 MAF.

The inflows and outflows of River Indus at Tarbela and Chashma, River Kabul at Nowshera and River Jhelum at Mangla have been reflected as mean flows of 24 hours, whereas the other flows have been gauged at 6 am.
