PML-N Govt taking measures to increase production in energy sector: Kamal

ISLAMABAD: State Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Jam Kamal Khan on Friday said that Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N), government is taking all important steps to increase production in the energy sector.

He said that the ministry is making all out efforts to bring improvement in the oil, gas and energy sector through available resources.

Talking to Pakistan Television, he said that Pakistan had launched Zarb-e-Azab operation to flush out terrorists from this region. He said that measures have been taken to strengthen economy and resolve the energy crisis.

He said that PML-N government after coming into power had launched several projects to meet the growing demand in the energy sector.

Replying to a question he said that Iran-Pakistan gas pipeline project would be implemented after lifting sanctions imposed on the neighboring country. He said that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI), should deliver in the areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, to provide relief to the masses.

Jam Kamal said that all the political parties holding governments in different provinces should focus on resolving the issues so that the people could re-elect them in the next general election.

To a question he said that the PML-N government is making efforts to reduce the prices in the petroleum products.

Akhunzada Chatan of Pakistan People’s Party said that PTI could not address the genuine issues of the people of the province. He said that all the Cabinet members of KPK are found sitting in Islamabad.
