Peshawarites throng parks on third day of Eid

PESHAWAR: The residents of provincial capital and adjoining areas Wednesday thronged parks and picnic points to enjoy the third day of Eid-ul-Azha.

As per traditions, Peshawarites passed the first two days of Eid at home or visiting relatives and friends to exchange greetings.

On the thid day of Eid, a large number of families along with children visited the parks and picnic spots to enjoy the festivity.

There was also rush at restaurants and hotels to enjoy dishes made from the sacrificial meat. They were having bar-b-que parties in the open.

Families and children were enjoying free time at Tatara Park, Chacha Younis, Shahi Bagh and Khalid Bin Walid Parks, where elaborate entertainment arrangements were made.

Sardaryab picnic point on Peshawar-Charsadda Road and Kund Park in Nowshera also attracted a large number of visitors.

The people were also witnessed enjoying fried fish and other spicy meat items on the banks of Shah Alam, Khayali and Indus rivers.

A great hustle and bustle was seen at city’s cinemas also where new Pushto films were screened on Eid.
