Pakistan Embassy boosts flood victims fund in Riyadh

ISLAMABAD: Pakistani people from all walks of life generously donated for the flood victims in an event arranged by the Pakistan Embassy at their premises in Riyadh.

Head of Chancery Abbas Sarwar Qurseshi briefed the participants about the flood disaster and seeking their cooperation for the rehabiliation of the affected people back home, Saudi Gazette reported.

Akbar highlighted the scale of disaster wreaked by the recent flood with an onscreen statistical presentation.

Singer Asad Ali rendered some famous national songs and Waqar Wamiq motivated the crowd with his poem about the recent flood.

The event was anchored by embassy officials, community leaders and personalities such as Hafiz Abdul Wahid, Dr. Asif Qureshi, Faisal Alvi, Rashid Butt, Khalid Akram Rana, Mohib Shalmani, Fayaz Khan, Waqar Naseem Wamiq, Abdul Basit, Abid Gill, Manoha Fazil, Hammad Abid and Mueen Anwar.
