Pak-Afghan traders offered to start business through Pakistan Railways


PESHAWAR: Divisional Superintendent Pakistan Railways, Ali Muhammad Afridi here Wednesday has asked the Pak-Afghan Traders Groups to start Afghan Transit Traders business through Pakistan Railway and assured to provide every kind of facility to business community in this regard.

A meeting to this effect was held here and was attended by President Pak-Afghan Traders Group, Gul Afzal Shinwari, DTO Railway Masood Jan, Chief Controller Sarhad Bacha, Pak-Afghan Traders Group General Secretary Farooq Ahmad, Senior Vice President Abdul Hameed Gurwara, Chairman Standing Committee Railway and Dry port and Pakistan and Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry Director Ziaul Haq Sarhadi and others officials were present on the occasion.

DS Muhammad Ali Afridi assured that that all available resources would be provided to facilitate them and said that transit trade goods would arrive in time from Karachi to Peshawar within five days. He said that he would talk to head office to provide relief in rent with a facility of claim about the lost goods. He also assured to talk with customs officials to resolve the problems of the traders in SRO-121.

Chairman Standing Committee Railway and Dry Port and Pakistan and Afghanistan Joint Chamber of Commerce and Industry Director Ziaul Haq Sarhadi and thanked DS Peshawar for extending offer of starting business through Pakistan Railways.
